Segasist Cloud Contouring™
What is Contouring?
Contouring, or segmentation, of medical images from different
modalities like CT or MR or microscopic images, is a major
activity in disease tracking and treatment planning. In radiation
therapy planning, for
instance, segmentation is used to delineate the boundary between
healthy and unhealthy tissue so therapy can be properly focused.
In radiology, segmentation can help track tumor growth or
recession and provide information about cancer staging and
treatment.

What is Segasist Engine?
The Segasist Engine is a segmentation engine in the form of a library
that can be integrated within any existing software system. The
toolkit will offer Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs) along with several
practical utilities for calibrating the segmentation process and
for editing the results, or creating gold standard contours.
The Segasist Engine will make cross-modality segmentation of lesions
and organs an easy task since it contains the core segmentation
technology that can be adjusted/calibrated in a training session
using gold-standard contours. Experts can train the software for
the modality in focus by creating gold standard contours for the
region of interest.
What is Cloud Contouring™?
Cloud Contouring™ is the technology to use
cloud computing for delivering Contouring as a Service
(Caas). The Segasist Engine can be trained for
different application fields (radiology, oncology, pathology etc.).
Any major and time-consuming contouring task can then be performed
on the corresponding cloud.
